5th Selangor Close 2022

Taekwondo Negeri Selangor(TNS) had organised its 5th Selangor Close Taekwondo Championship 2022 on the 1st and 2nd of October 2022 which fell on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The competition was held at Dewan MBSJ in USJ 7, Subang Jaya from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. The purpose of this competition was to select the best players for the REMAJA Championship of the year. The event was initiated by a registration session throughout the first day. A total of 26 clubs participated in the event with 392 Kyorugi players and 106 Poomsae players leading to a grand total of 498 players. A weigh in session was held at 4.00 p.m. in the evening followed by a managers meeting at 5.00 p.m. to conclude the first day. The competition itself took place on the second day of the event with a total of 25 registered referees overseeing the competition. Both Kyorugi and Poomsae players began competing at 9.00 a.m. in the morning. The Poomsae competition ended around 2.00 p.m. in the afternoon whereas the Kyorugi competition ended much later around 8.00 p.m. at night. No serious casualties were reported throughout the course of the competition and the event was concluded with a prize giving ceremony to commemorate the players for their amazing skill and talent.
