14th CK Malaysia Classic International Taekwondo Championship 2022

CK Taekwondo Club had very successfully organised the 14th CK Malaysia Classic International Taekwondo Championship 2022 that took place from the 12th to the 14th of August, 2022. This event was held on an international scale with participation from India, Indonesia, Singapore, Iran, Australia, and our very own Malaysia. The organising country was able to garner the participation of 11 states with 49 local clubs taking part in the competition. The tournament was held in Stadium Juara, Bukit Jalil, and catered to slightly more than 1000 athletes. The VIP that was to officiate the championship was sports minister Hannah Yeoh who was unfortunately unable to attend the event due to urgent circumstances. The organising committee improvised by being the ones to welcome all participants to this prestigious event. The first day of this event was allocated for registration followed by a manager’s meeting, and a Referee seminar. The second day of the tournament was designated for both Poomsae and Kyorugi competitions, and began with the Poomsae competition that had the participation of 500 athletes. This part of the tournament ended at around 3.30 p.m, and was followed by the Kyorugi competition for the age groups of 9 to 11 and 15 to 17 years old. On the third day, the participants began competing at 9.00 a.m. in the Kyorugi competition. This went on for most of the day following the various age categories. The final rounds ended around 5.30 p.m. and was followed by a prize-giving ceremony for the much deserving winners of each category which ended at 7.30 p.m. There were no serious casualties for the entirety of the competition.
